JUNE 15, 2005 CELEBRATION

Come join us on June 15 to Celebrate Juneteenth.  We will have a good time celebrating our heritage.  There will be good food to share with everyone.  It will be a time to meet old friends, make new friends and connect with the African American campus community.

If you have a favorite ethnic or non-ethnic dish to share with your colleagues please contact me (Rose Lawson 642-0882).  I am the contact person coordinating food donations for the event.  We would like a variety of dishes to sample and have suggested items:

v    APPETIZER’S (4 PEOPLE OR MORE)

v    CHICKEN (PARTY WINGS 4 PEOPLE OR MORE)

v    SALADS (4 PEOPLE OR MORE)

v    ETHNIC DISHES (4 PEOPLE OR MORE)

v    DESSERTS (4 PEOPLE OR MORE) Ethel’s famous peach cobbler is a most.

v    DRINKS (soft drinks, water and etc)

I am requesting that participates prepare enough food to feed approximately 20-25 individuals.  I would like to know by June 8 what kind of dish or dishes you will be preparing for the event.

Individuals that pay their 2005 membership dues will be eligible for raffle prizes at the end of June.  (raffle prize donations are being accepted)

Thank you on behalf of BSFO
